Tweak the Windows Start Menu Print

vistalogo.jpgThe Start Menu is a great place to go for access to many different areas of your computer. Just click on the Start Button and you will be able to choose items like the Computer, Control Panel, Music, Documents, Games, and Pictures. You can choose any of these and click on them and wait for another window to open. But there is an easier and faster way .......

You can put the actual menu choices for each of these right on the main menu. Doing this will allow you to click on Start, see your choice. Click on the small down arrow next to your choice, and have a list of choices, For example, instead of clicking on the Start button, clicking on Control Panel, and waiting for the Control Panel screen to appear, after you have made this simple customization tweak, you can click on the Start button and click on the small down arrow next to the Control Panel and have you choices appear instantaneously. If you are using Vista or Windows 7, here's what you need to do:

  1. Right-click the Start button, and then click Properties.
  2. In the Start Menu tab, click the Customize button.
  3. Click the circle in front of the choice  "Display link as a menu", in any or all of the sections where this choice appears.
