There is a lot of information available about any file in the file's Properties. You can access the Properties of any file or folder by right-clicking on the folder or file, and choosing Properties, as shown below. You can also access the Properties menu by holding down the Alt key while you double-click the left mouse button.
Either way you get there, you will find the Properties of each item quite informative. If you are looking at a file, you can see exactly when that file was created, when it was last modified, and when it was last accessed. You can also see its exact size and location. Clicking on the Advanced button, as shown below, of the Properties window will also allow you to compress the file to save space and to encrypt the file for added security.
