A network that allows data to be transmitted between nodes. Each node on the network can connect to many other nodes. The network can still operate even when a node or several nodes stop working. The One Laptop per Child computers use this type of network to make it easier for the laptops to hook up to each other and to allow all the laptop access to the Internet even when only one computer may have direct Internet access.
