The iPod is a portable media player developed by Apple. All iPods play audio and some have video capabilities. The first iPod was created in 2001 and they have become the most popular digital audio players. Several different models are available. Some only about 1” x 1 ½” .  Music and videos can be transferred to an iPods using Apple’s free iTunes software.
