IP (Internet Protocol) Address

This is the unique web address of any device connected to the Internet. Under the current addressing system called version 4, the address is four numbers separated by periods. Each number can from one to three digits from 0 to 255. A typical address would be: 146.128.32.18. New addressing versions have also been developed to allow for more available numbers, but they are not yet in common use.
