Many attempts have been made to create Internet appliances aimed at making the Web more accessible and easier to use. Internet appliances offer Internet access through a simple, easy-to-use appliance minus the bells and whistles of a standard computer. Most of these appliances like the i-opener by Netpliance and Microsoft’s WebTV have either failed or had limited success.
