Save Pictures Quickly Print E-mail

To save a picture from a Web page or document, just right-click the image and select "Save Picture (Image) As..." Choose a place to save the picture and a name and it will be available on your hard drive whenever you need it.   You can also turn any picture into your desktop wallpaper by choosing "Set as (desktop) background" after you right-click on the picture.

Adding Programs to the Start Menu Print E-mail

Sometimes is it convenient to add a program that you use often to your Start Menu. Then you can simply press the Windows key on your keyboard to bring up the Start Menu and choose you program from the short Start Menu list.

You can quickly add programs to the Start menu by dragging them to the Start button and dropping them on the button itself. To remove items from the Start Menu, right-click on the item you want to remove and choose "Remove from This List".

Printing a Portion of the Page Print E-mail

Don't waste ink printing the entire page if you only need a few lines or paragraphs of text. Just highlight the text by dragging  your mouse across it. Then click on File, then Print. When the Print dialog box appears look in the Print Range area and click in front of the word Selection. Then click Print. Only the words you have highlighted will be printed. If Selection is grayed out it means you don't have anything highlighted. Go back and try again.

Go Back to Previous Position in Document Print E-mail

Ever which you could simply go back to the last place you were at in a document? Well, you can. Simply click on Shift+F5  and your cursor will jump to its previous position. This is especially helpful in Microsoft Word. Thankfully, this also works after you close a document. Just press this magic keystroke after you reopen the document and you cursor will be in the exact position you had it when you closed the document.
