While there has been too much rain in the Midwest, here in North Carolina we are still in a drought situation. So we have been pleased to have some recent rains that brought a little relief to the region. Unfortunately, these storms also brought high winds that knocked out the power several times. One of these outages occurred in the middle of the night when I had my alarm set for an early morning wake up.
My Emerson SmartSet alarm clock took it all in stride. Even though the power was out for several hours, the clock reset itself with the correct time and woke me right on schedule. With a regular alarm clock, I would undoubtedly overslept.
Sometimes we tend to take new technologies for granted, but this is one that I am thankful for. Anyone with a busy schedule should have one of these!
