Happy New Year and Thanks
Posted by Sandy Berger on January 1st, 2008
I was overwhelmed by the many note that I received wishing me a speedy recover and a happy new year. You guys are really great! I couldn’t do it without your wonderful support.
I believe that 2008 will be a great year where we will see many technological changes that will make our lives easier than ever before. I received a GPS for Christmas. I may be good on the computer, but I am directionally-impaired, so it is the perfect present for me. I expect GPS systems to be everywhere in 2008 and for them to get even cheaper and better, so I will be sure to cover these systems in detail this year.
As always, we will be talking a lot about health issues and advances as we allow technology to help us live longer and better lives. When at the emergency room and doctor’s office this past week, I saw the a dramatic demonstration of technology. The medical records in my doctor’s office are now completely computerized. After getting a chest x-ray in the x-ray department, I walked into the doctor’s office across the hall and he had already read the ex-ray on his computer. He could see the results of my recent visit to the emergency room almost immediately. He entered my prescriptions on his computer and they were spit out of the printer within minutes. It all means fewer mistakes and better care for all of us. I believe that there will be many medical breakthroughs to talk about in 2008.
As always, entertainment will also be big. So I’ll be sure to cover all the new games, television news, and other fun things. Feel free to let me know what you would like to learn about and read about in 2008. And have a great year!
