PDF Vulnerability Announced

Petko Petkov, a British security researcher with a great reputation has announced that there is a flaw in PDF (Portable Document Format) files. When a hacker takes advantage of the flaw and a user opens the infected PDF, the user’s computer can be taken over by the hacker.
Now we can add one more caution for the computer user. Most of us already know better than to open email attachments, but now we also have to be careful about opening PDF files when surfing the Internet. PDF are very common for ebooks, instructions, and other detailed documents on the Internet. As much as I love the Internet, it is getting a little hairy out there.
