Audio Equipment for Podcast

Posted by Sandy Berger on July 30th, 2007

I’ve taken a brief vacation from the blog, but my respite is over. As usual I have a new project that some of you may be interested in. Up to this point my podcasts have been produced in a local radio station. It was the perfect place for producing a podcast as I didn’t have to worry about any of the audio equipment or software.

As they say, all good things must come to an end and so I will now have to find the proper equipment and a place to produce the podcast my self. I’ll start my quest with a search for a mixer. Although I know that the mixer is used for putting several sound sources together, I don’t know too much more. Now, however, I am poised to quickly learn much more about mixers. Oh, and BTW, I am looking to put the equipment together for as little money as possible. So this will be a real challenge.
