Vista after one week

Sales of Vista at its release are said to be slower than sales of Windows XP were in its first weeks. I think that people are waiting until the bugs are worked out of Vista, but in actuality, I have had little trouble with Vista. What I found, however, was that not enough companies had their Vista versions of software ready soon enough. I don’t understand why. Even though this version of Windows has had some major changes, it seems to me that software manufacturers had plenty of notice about Vista coming.
For instance, QuickTime movies will not run properly on my Vista machine. I upgraded to the latest version, but this version is listed as Windows XP. There is a feedback form for you to post comments if you are using QuickTime on Windows Vista, but no final Vista version yet, even though Vista has been out for almost a month. Or is this because Apple is not too keen on supporting Vista??
In any case, I love Vista. The interface is sleek and many things like drop-down menus have been improved. However, I advise everyone who uses a lot of different software programs to make sure that all their necessary software has Vista versions available before they make the move to a Vista machine.
