itunes.gifMost of you have heard of iTunes and think of it as a place to buy music and/or a way to transfer music to an iPod. The iTunes Store is a place to purchase music and movies. And the iTunes program will help you transfer music to your iPod, but it can do much, much more.

iTunes is a free program that is available for both PC and Mac users. You don't need an iPod to use the iTunes program. You can use it to play any music you have on your computer. It comes with an equalizer where you can adjust how the songs play. iTunes lets you create playlists from your favorite songs. So you can listen to every song by your favorite artist without stop. Of you can create playlists of different types of music to suit your various moods.

You can use iTunes to "rip" your CDs, meaning, to copy the music from a CD to your computer. You can even use it to listen to radio programs on the internet.

It's a great free program for musically-inclined computer owners. You can download it at the Apple website.
