 The computer world has quickly, and almost completely, merged with the audio world. People around the world are downloading music, listening to CDs on their computer, and playing music that they are able to store on their computer. It produces rich and full sound whether playing CDs, MP3s, DVDs, Internet radio, streaming video, or playing games.
There are two satellite speakers, which can be set on the desktop or attached to the monitor. These are tiny 3 1/2”H x 2 1/2”W x 2 3/8” silver rectangular speakers with a round graphite flat circular speaker pods. Included in this package are mounting brackets that attach easily to all monitors, even flat panels. The speakers are magnetically shielded so they won’t cause monitor interference or damage magnetic media.
The compact Acoustimass® module measures 8 5/8”H x 7 1/8”W x 14”D. It can easily be placed under a desk or in a corner. This module adds resonant base sounds. It uses the Bose proprietary TrueSpace™ signal processing to produce excellent output.
The system also comes with a small round control pod, which is just slightly over 1” in diameter. It looks like an elegant hockey puck, and contains a headphone jack, volume adjustment, and auxiliary input for an additional audio source. The control pod is extremely easy to use. While you are playing music and the phone rings or something needs your unconditional attention, you simply tap the top of the pod and the music stops immediately. Tap it again and the music will resume.
The system is easy to set up by following the included owner’s manual, which gives clear instructions and diagrams. Happily, there are also instructions for the correct placement of the equipment to produce the best audio quality possible.
