Fans come in all shapes and sizes, but one thing remains consistent -- the devotion to their favorite team and the lengths a person will go to show support. Think of the extreme examples:
- Baseball has the infamous "bleacher bums" at Wrigley Field who have the audacity to throw an opposing team's home run back onto the field
- Football has the "Cheeseheads" -- Green Bay Packer fans who wear cheese shaped hats on their heads during games

Racing history is unique amongst sports and only in the last several years have fans flocked to this sport in extreme proportions. Now its motor racing's turn to find their extreme fan! What fanatical antics will make for a memorable contender?
RadioShack® and the A.J. Foyt family want to recognize racing fans who take it "to the Xtreme" with the launch of the 2003 Xtreme Racing Fan Contest, a nationwide call for stories, descriptions, pictures and accounts of racing fans that have exhibited a dedication and commitment to their favorite racecar driver and/or team that goes "above and beyond."
The winner (and three guests) get to go to the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day! That's 1100 miles of racing where they'll see A.J. IV run at Indy and then fly by private jet to Charlotte where they'll see Larry Foyt race at Lowe's Motor Speedway that evening. If you or a loved one is motor racing's next "Xtreme Fan" you might be in store for the ride of your life!
