Atek Tote-Remote

by Sandy Berger...

If you use a laptop computer to make presentations, Tote-Remote is a valuable tool. Its RF technology allows you to control your laptop from up to 30 feet away without needing a clear line-of-sight. Additionally, it functions as a useful laser pointer. It does all of this with only three buttons which makes it easy to use. One button turns on the laser pointer. The second is a page up/down and scroll button. The third is the F5/Escape button. The Tote-Remote comes with a plug and play USB RF receiver which needs no software. It also comes with a padded travel pouch and battery.  The small 4 ½” by 1 ½” unit is curved to fit easily into the hand, and is comfortable to use. While you can’t use the Tote-Remote to control the cursor on the screen, you can easily use it to flip or scroll through presentation slides.

If you are used to packing a laser pointer, a mouse with a long cable, or a wireless mouse with a bulky wireless receiver, you will be thrilled with the Tote-Remote that gives you wireless connectivity while using little space and adding little weight to your travel bag.

The Tote-Remote works with a variety of hardware equipment. Your presentation unit only needs a USB port. Supported operating systems are:   Windows 98 or better, Windows CE 3.0 or later, Pocket PC 2002 or later, and Mac 8.6 or later.

The Tote-Remote will be a comfortable and useful tool for many road warriors, who may even find that not being tethered to the computer makes their presentations better than ever.
