One of the best things about today's computers is that you can customize them to reflect your own personal tastes. While my desktop wallpaper is usually created from family pictures, I occasionally like to put up something different. I recently found a great website that has free wallpapers with high quality images of everything from landscapes to animals.

If you are using AVG's free anti-virus and recently got a notice that you have to upgrade, don't worry. It's still free, but AVG put a few detours in their upgrade links with the express purpose of leading unsuspecting users to the paid version. I hate when they do that!! There is still a free version of AVG for home users. Here's what you need to do to get it.

nintendocrossword.jpgGames aren't just for kids. A great way to get your brain going is with a handheld game called the Nintendo DS. I play games like Brain Age and Suduko every day. When the grandchildren come over, we each take out our Nintendos and play with Nintendogs, a wonderful virtual pet game that lets our puppies play together.

Have you ever seen a picture on top of a folder that indicates what's inside? When you create a folder with pictures in it, Windows chooses a picture from the folder and puts in on the top of the folder. With these simple instructions, you can choose the picture and put any picture you like on any folder icon. It's easy and it's fun.

Have you ever tried to open a document from a friend only to be greeted by an error or a page full of gobbledygook? Or have you sent a document that you recipient couldn't open? It is probably because the file formats for different versions of programs can be as different as apples and oranges. Don't worry. There are some simple solutions.
