How To Post A New Compu-KISS Message

You can read the messages on the Compu-KISS message boards without registering, but in order to ask a question or post a comment, you must register. Here are complete instructions for registering and posting a message.

1: Click on the word REGISTER from the horizontal menu as shown below.  (If your screen does not look like the one below, click here to get to the proper screen)

2: Choose a username. Enter your email address. Choose a password and type it in. Verify the password by typing it again. If you want to hide your email address, click in the box to put a checkmark next to “Hide email address from public”

Enter the 2 words you see on the screen into the box below the words separated by a space. (Sorry we have to do this, but it keeps automated spammers from attacking our message boards.) In the example below, you would click your mouse in the box under the words and type in “seems south”, without the quotes. If you feel you can’t read the words, just click on the word REGISTER again and a new set of words will appear that may be easier to read.

3: Scroll down to the bottom of the same page, as shown below, click to put a checkmark in the “I agree” box, then click on the Register button as shown below.

4: You will be automatically logged in and taken to the main message board page. Notice that you can tell if you are logged in because the screen will read “Hello Yourname” as shown in the upper left section of the screenshot  below.

4 easy steps to post a message:

1: Enter your username and password, and click “Login”.  You should now be at the main page of the Message Boards. If your page does not look like the one below, click here.

2: Click on the message board of your choice. For this example we will click on the Computer Help board. You can also choose: Vista Help, Mac Help, Past Present Future, Health & Wellness, Freebees & Bargains, Photos & Printing, Cell Phones, or Games & Entertainment, which you will see listed below Computer Help. If your screen does not look like the one below, click here.

3: Once you’ve clicked on and entered a message board you can post a new message by, clicking on “New Topic”, as shown below.

4: Enter Your Post as shown in the screenshot below

-Type in your Subject title.
- Type in your message.
- Click on “Additional Options”.
- Check off “Notify me of replies” if you would like to be emailed when a response is posted.
- Click “Post” to post your message to the board.
