Are you tired of entering www and .com? This shortcut will let you cut
down you typing time and still get you to the right address.
If you are using Internet Explorer and you want to visit the Coca Cola
website, instead of entering www.coke.com in the
address bar and clicking on the arrow next to the address bar, just enter coke and press the CTRL and the Enter key at the same time. Mac users
will use the Command and Return keys instead of CTRL and Enter.
The same shortcuts apply to Firefox and most other web browsers. Some
Firefox users will find that they don't even have to use the extra keys. Just
type in coke, and hit Enter or Return.
Whether this works for you or not depends on the version of Firefox that you
are using and the way it is set up.
If you often visit websites with .net or .org extensions, there are
keyboard shortcuts for these, as well. Type in the main part of the address, press Shift +Enter, and your
browser will add the www and the .net. Mac users should use Shift+Return. For websites
that end in .org, Windows users will press CTRL+Shift+Enter and Mac users will
press Command+Shift+Enter.
