Wireless Mouse Trouble-Shooting Print E-mail

If your wireless mouse stops working, installing fresh batteries, or returning a rechargeable mouse to its charging station will probably be the first step in your trouble-shooting.

The next step is to make sure the wireless mouse transmitter is still working. The transmitter is usually a small device that plugs into the USB port on your computer. Once you find it, you will want to remove it from the computer and then reinsert it.

You must remember that when some wireless mice run out of power or are disconnected for any reason, they need to reestablish their connection with the computer before they will work again. In most cases, you will need to press the Connect button on the mouse or the receiver. Some mice require that you press the Connect button on the mouse and the receiver simultaneously.

Check the documentation that came with your mouse for any further information. If If following these instructions doesn’t work, sometimes restarting the computer will do the trick.
