My computer is infected with enterprise suite.  I have XP w/cable connection.  I am reluctant to download any of the google recommended fixes without consulting with the experts at compukiss.

First step is to get this free program which you will need with the link I will post to a very safe and great site called Bleeping Computers....

MalwareByte's Anti-Malware ... http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

Download the free program, install, and update MBA-M to the latest data base (this superb program updates many times a day).

Now you can go to this web site at Bleeping Computers and follow their removal steps, which will include getting and installing and using MBA-M .... You will already have it from my first step.

This rogue program, along with AntiVirus Police, AntiVirus 2009 and the multitude of different names this scumware / frightware is pedaled under is certainly a pain in the posterior.... MBA-M will be a giant help to you and anyone who has the misfortune to click on that frightware when it pops up on your screen from some infected web site....It's a shame that we have Spyware and Adware and Malware, and now we have to add the additional term to our computer language called FRIGHTWARE, as it certainly does frighten a lot of unsuspecting folks and sooooooo many have been tricked into buying the useless program that says your infected with a virus and all you have is malware on your system....
 Good Luck.....

Thanks bigtoe, I knew you would come thru, as usual.  This was a beast of an infection.  Glad to get rid of it.

Quite welcome..... those rogue programs have really been a nightmare for a lot of folks who had the misfortune of clicking on the pop-up when it displayed on their screen....... If you could go up to the top right of your browser and X out to close the browser, or open up your Task Manager and shut down the process that will kill those rogue programs before they inflict their misery on the computer.... but, even though a lot of those scammers have been arrested and fined, the profit motive keeps others springing up in their place.....

MBA-M has been shown to be the most effective program for cleaning out that trash, and SuperAntiSpyware does a pretty good job as well........ I don't recommend using the HJT (HiJack This) program except when you are on a site with trained folks who have the management part of that program so they can correctly instruct in what and what not to remove after they "read" the test results with their program....

Happy Puterin'..... and thanks for the follow-up post as that will help others who might come here from a Google search for a solution to that buggaboo of a frightware scam..........
