Can you tell me if there is a way to determine when printing how many pages will be printed?  I have an older HP printer that doesn't readily tell me that.  When I click "print" I can see more pages than I care to print in the queue. I am given the choice to print all or certain pages, but never do I know how many pages are in "all."  I appreciate any help.

Don't know what browser you are using, but with Firefox or with IE7 when you go to the Menu bar and choose FILE>>PRINT PREVIEW you are not only shown how the printing will appear but you are shown all the pages that are in the printer que.... Usually the print job will be shown as page 1 of 7, page 3 of 7 and so forth.... As you preview the pages you can decide which pages you want to have printed... Then when you click on PRINT from the FILE menu you can direct which pages you want to have printed...... If you select all, then you already know that 7 pages will be printed as you saw that in Print Preview... using the Print Preview feature of the browser adds a couple of seconds to the printing process, but lets you know beforehand what and how many pages will be printed..... That can save you paper and ink by letting you only print the pages you will want......... Wink

Is there any manual with you included at your HP printer? You better read that manual so that you can know the answer to your question. or you beter check every category of your printer when you are printing.
