Hi,
I would like to know if i can fix this problem.
I can't enter certain websites.When i type in the website in the browser,a new page will appear which says "Internet Explorer cannot display webpage".
I'm using Internet Explorer 8.Itried analternative Safari 4,but to no avail.

websites that i can't enter:

->Google.com
->youtube.com
->wikipedia.org(second page)
->gmail.com

For google,when i type google.com i can't enter, but when i type google.sg,i am able to enter.

I recently downloaded a software and ithink that is the cause of the problem.

Need to know what the software program was that you recently downloaded since it is the likely cause of this blockage.... I'm assuming it is malware, but perhaps not....

Another possibility is your Firewall is blocking the sites (unlikely, if this is a new problem and you have been using that firewall all along).

A definite program you (all of us) need on your computer is free, uses absolutely zero resources of your computer, and currently protects you against some ~12,890 bad guys and bad sites is called SpywareBlaster (all one word), available from Java Cool Software .... http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sbdownload.html ... just get the free one, but if you would rather it auto update (does update about every 2 weeks or so) then you can get the pay version on the right side of their page..... I use the free one, and manually check for updates about once a week or so.... That one superb free program prevents you from getting hijacked or from having most malware from even having a chance to cause problems on your machine.... Just download, install, update and close the program.... it is a blocker and does not run... that is why it uses zero resources of your computer and is 100% trouble free.

Need to know the software program you mentioned, for if it is one of the rogue malware programs that is infecting folks, then the cleaning is different than just putting web sites in a white list on your firewall.....
