please help with clock on lower taskbar in right hand corner

Just recently purchased new Dell computer with Windows Vista.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to have the time of day in the lower right hand corner of my screen.  Can somebody please help me?  It appears on the desktop, but not after signing in to AOL, I guess.

The page is a couple of years old but I like that it also has picture displays of the different changes you can do which makes the customizing easier to do.....
