Just surf over to My Heritage and click on the Face Recognition tab. Then upload a frontal face image of the mother, the father, and the child, and their face recognition engine will extract the faces. Then you drag each of the pictures to the proper squares - Mom, Dad, and Child. Once that is done, the program does the analysis and presents the results. In the example below, the baby was found to look more like the mother, but only by 3%.

It's a fun and interesting endeavor that is sure to be a hit with family groups. The only caveat is that you will probably hit the save button like I did expecting that you could save the results. Unfortunately, the Save button only allows you to post the results on a web page or social networking page. That is great if you have such a web page and bad if you don't.

The My Heritage webpage will let you enter your own photograph and the program will find a celebrity that you look like. You can also morph your own photo into a celebrity photo. The website also has a place where you can keep your photos and uses their unique face detection to help you tag pictures with names.

You can also use My Heritage for your family tree, family contacts, and family facts. There are free genealogy and family history tools. The family tree tools are unique and look pretty easy to use. To check it out, just click on the Genealogy tab. You can use the Family Tree Builder to build your own family tree or you can use the Web Family Tree to build your family tree online. The basic tools are free, while there is a charge for the more advanced. While I have not yet used the family tree part of the website, it's worth checking out for the extensive tools that they offer.
