The Google calendar is a free program that you can download at the Google calendar website. Not only will this calendar help you keep track of and organize your schedule, but it will let you share special events and coordinate schedules with friends and family. For instance, if you have five people in the family, each one can have a Google calendar and you can share all the calendars so that you can see what each family member has planned for any particular day and time. Each calendar owner can decide how much power they want to give the other users, from just viewing the events to being able to add and delete events.
Because the calendar is online, you can access it from any Internet-connected computer. You can make your calendar public, keep it private, and/or share it with others of your choice.
It's easy to set up this calendar and easy to use. You can set repeating events, automatic reminders and even mobile phone notifications. You can have more than one calendar. So, for instance, family birthdays and anniversaries can be kept on one calendar and business events on another. It is also perfect for groups that schedule events like bowling leagues, church groups, and theatre groups. Each calendar can be color-coded to help you visually keep track of everything. You can quickly view each of your personal calendars and your shared calendars separately. You can also view them all at once and/or choose which ones to view together. Although this may sound a little complicated, it is really very, very easy.
There are several different ways to view the calendars, including daily, weekly, 2-week, and monthly. All of the calendars are printable. You can search the calendar for any item. If you are an Outlook user, you can synch your Outlook calendar with your Google calendar. And Google keeps adding new features, making this calendar better and better.
