Get Windows 7 Snap in Windows XP & Vista

snap.jpgWindows 7 has many new features. One of my favorites is called "Snap". It makes Windows snap to the edges of the screen. It is extremely useful. In fact after using it for a few months, I longed to also have this functionality on my Windows Vista and Windows XP computers. Now I've found a free program that will add the Snap functionality of Windows 7 to Windows XP and Vista computers. You are going to love this one!

It's called AeroSnapAeroSnap and it adds the "snap" functionality of Windows 7 to Windows Vista and Windows XP computers.

After you download and install AeroSnap, you simply use your mouse to click on the title bar (The bar at the top of the window) of any window. Hold down the mouse button and drag the window to the top of the screen. When you reach the top it will automatically expand to fill the screen. It couldn't be easier!

If you want to return the window to its previous size, just grab the title bar again and drag it down from the top. The window will return to its previous size.

This snap feature also lets you snap windows to the side of the screen. If you grab the title bar and flick the window to the left or right side of the screen. It will fill exactly one-half of the screen. This is perfect for having two perfectly-sized windows fully visible on the screen at the same time. As it does in Windows 7, flicking the window to the side may take a little getting used to, so don't give up if you don't get it the first few times. It really does work. If you can't get the gesture to move the window to fill one-half of the screen, try pressing the Windows key and the left or right arrow keys on the keyboard. This has the same effect..

If the website comes up in German, it is because it was created by a clever German coder. You can simply click on the British flag under the "AeroSnap" title to change the site to English.
