One of the most aggravating things about portable digital devices is that they can run out of power when we need them. Here's a tip for making those batteries last just a little longer.
In most smartphones and other portable devices, the screen is the thing that uses the most battery power. Many times you can turn the level of screen brightness down to conserve power. You can also set the screen to go blank after a certain period of inactivity. Shortening that period will save battery life.
Using Wi-fi and Bluetooth also consume large amounts of battery power. So be sure to turn these off if you do not need them.
Many of the newer smart phones will tell you exactly what is using the most power. Check through the settings and see if your phone offers this option. It can be very useful.
