Sunlight, Heat, and Digital Devices Print E-mail

thermometerhot.jpgYou have invested a lot of money in those digital cameras, MP3 players, and other digital devices, so be sure to protect them from the summer sun and heat. If at all possible, you should not expose the display of any digital device to direct sunlight for any length of time. GPSs and other digital devices that are installed in your car should have added protection against heat and cold. However, portable devices might not have as much built-in protection, so you may want to carry them with you instead of leaving them in the car in very hot or cold conditions. While exposing digital devices to extreme hot and cold may not ruin the device, such exposure can dramatically lessen its lifespan.
