Caring for Flat Panel Monitors Print E-mail

flat panel.jpgAll monitors have holes for ventilation. You should keep those vent clear so the monitor won't overheat. Keep away from material like curtains that might clog the vents with lint. Likewise, it's good to keep animals away from the monitor. While kitty sleeping on top of the monitor may be cute, cat hair can also clog the vents.

Remember that the screens of flat-panel monitors are soft and can be easily damaged by any forceful impacts. So use when you clean them don't rub the screen. Just use a soft cloth or a cloth made especially for cleaning flat-panels and a gently touch. Never spray any liquids directly on the screen.
