Microsoft is now testing a smart grocery cart. With a cart-mounted console the cart will help shoppers find products in the store. It will also keep a running total of their purchases and let them pay for their items without waiting in the checkout line.
Of course, targeted video ads will also be a part of the test. Buy some strawberries and you will get a video about how yummy they would be with whipped cream on top! Video Ads are Planned for Grocery Carts January 14, 2008.........The Associated Press
