NFL on Sirius Radio

sports/footballhand80.jpgTires of blackouts? Hate missing games when you are driving? This fall Sirius satellite radio owners will be able to hear the entire NFL every week. Sirius satellite radio and the NFL have teamed up to give Sirius radio listeners some great choices this year. Not only can you hear every game, you can choose which broadcast of the game you want to hear.  For example, if you are a Green Bay Packers fan, you can now hear all the play-by-play from the Green Bay Packers radio network. I just checked out the first pre-season game between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. I had the choice of listening on channel 123 for the Pittsburgh announcers and channel 124 for the Philadelphia announcers. This eliminates some of the frustration I have in listening to sporting events on the radio or television. I just hate it when the announcers are routing for the team that I want to lose.

The games also have a additional information shown on the scrolling data on the Sirius receiver screen including up-to-the-minute scores of all the games being aired on Sirius. There will also be a new Siruis Sportster new satellite radio receiver for the sports enthusiast and a boom-box attachment so you can enjoy football even when you are not in your car or at home. The Sportster will prompt you when your favorite NFL or other sports teams are playing on Sirius. You will also be able to personalize it with your favorite team’s logo.

Finally we have a way to listen to every game. No more excuses for missing that great game! For more information on Sirius radio and how it works, read my review.
