Expedia Verifies Reviews Print E-mail
scenes/hotel.jpgFinding a good hotel in a location that you have never visited can be a challenge. While the Internet will help you find hotels, give you information, and show you pictures of the various possibilities, you can’t always believe your eyes. Everyone has stories of hotels that looked nothing like the pictures in the brochures and on the Internet.

Expecia.com, one of the largest travel website has the answer.  It is helping consumers rest easier before – and after – they check into their hotel by helping hotel-seekers get the opinions of those who have already stayed at each hotel. Posting reviews of prior customers has become commonplace, but Expedia has a new twist that is extremely beneficial to consumers. Wendy Grover from Expedia explains. “Our reviews are industry-leading because we verify that a customer has actually stayed at the property prior to being allowed to post a review. The reviews provide a wealth of knowledge to travelers picking a hotel.”

Expedia recently released its top ten three, four and five-star hotels as chosen by customer reviews. Topping the list were the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, the St. Julien Hotel and Spa in Boulder and the Resort at Sonoma County.

Grover adds, “There are high-quality hotels at every price level offering superior value and service. It’s important to highlight top hotels to recognize this excellence – and help our customers make the best travel choices.”
