Conficker - What To Do If You Are Infected Print E-mail
Written by Sandy Berger

Removal tools for Conficker are available from Microsoft, BitDefender, ESET, Symantec,  Sophos, Kaspersky Labs, and others. McAfee and AVG can remove it with an on-demand scan, but this only works if you already have McAfee or AVG installed.

Remember that the virus itself has probably blocked access to all of these websites, so you will have to use another computer to download the removal tools. Then take the infected computer off of the Internet and run the removal tool.

If you have trouble removing Conficker, you might have to backup your data, reformat your hard drive and reinstall your programs.
