There is no doubt the high tech world touches our everyday
lives. From iPods to ATM machines, great ideas and products have improved our
lives. Recently I found a high tech product that is ready to make an
understated, but remarkable improvement in your life. Believe it or not.... it's
a toothbrush.
The HydraBrush is not just another toothbrush. It is a very
unusual, but highly effective brush that makes brushing your teeth easier and
faster while cleaning your teeth amazingly well.
We've all seen electric toothbrushes that purport to clean
better than brushing by hand. Although the HydraBrush is an electric
toothbrush, the way that it brushes is entirely different than any other that
I've seen. The HydraBrush has eight micro-brushes arranged to properly brush
all your upper and lower teeth at the same time.
Using the HydraBrush for the first time is an unusual
experience. You hold the brush perpendicular to your mouth and "bite" into the
brushes. The brushes automatically
surround your teeth and gums. You simply move the brush slowly so it covers all
the teeth on one side of your mouth, from the front to the back. Then you
reverse the brush to cover the other side. The brush automatically adjusts to
the size and shape of your teeth cleaning the upper and lower surfaces and
massaging the gums all at once. Since you are brushing the upper and lower
teeth at once, your brushing time can be reduced. In fact, the folks at
HydraBrush say that 40 seconds with HydraBrush equals four minutes with a
regular toothbrush.
I found the HydraBrush very comfortable to use. Although
some might say that I have a big mouth (I do talk a lot.), in actuality, I have
an extremely small mouth. So small in fact, that they must use the child-sized
cards when they take x-rays of my teeth. Yet, the HydraBrush fit my mouth
perfectly. My husband also found the HydraBrush comfortable for his man-sized
mouth.
The HydraBrush has two speeds so you can start with the
slower speed and work up to the regular speed. It works at a slower speed than
most electric toothbrushes, which seems a little slow when you first try it.
Yet, as you use it, you realize that the slower speed allows the individual
bristles time to flex and reach in and remove trapped particles from between
the teeth. It also comes with two sets of brushes so you can start off with the
ultra soft brushes and work up to the standard soft. It takes only two fingers
to guide the brushes. In fact, the HydraBrush is so easy to hold and simple to
use, that it has garnered the Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis
Foundation. This is quite an accomplishment since this is a difficult
recommendation to earn.
The HydraBrush comes with two sets of brushes, a storage and
travel tray, the battery charger, and a countertop pedestal to keep it in for
daily use. HydraBrush says that you will get approximately 40 1-minute brushes
per charge, but I got much more than that...having to charge up the toothbrush
only once every two months or so.
My only complaint about the HydraBrush is not with the brush
itself, but rather with the pedestal. Since it is not weighted, sometimes when
you grab the brush, the pedestal comes with it.
Oral health is an important part of our overall health,
making the HydraBrush a worthwhile investment for everyone. It can keep your teeth clean with less effort
and the massage that it gives your gums is sure to keep them healthier, as
well. HydraBrush offers a 30-day
money-back guarantee, so give it a try. You have nothing to lose.... and a
whiter, healthier smile to gain.
